I'm going to keep an eye on those Dominator head lights. For now I am going to keep these weird rubber ones. I bought a pair of hellas. Getting tires tomorrow, so I will post some pics of it on the ground this weekend.

About the hood (bonnet :) ). As far as I can tell the only part changed was the small bump on the driver's side (left side, the correct driver's side ;) ) to clear the carbs. I'll take some pics of the underside this weekend.

And I'm located outside of Detroit, Michigan.

Got tires for the wheels on Friday. Strangely enough, I spent almost as much money on the tires as I did on the entire car :)
I get about a half in of the tires poking past the fender on the left side and its about flush on the right. No big deal for the time being. And I have about .25 inch of clearance between the tire and frame in the rear! Not sure what is going to happen under load. Guess I'll see. Spacers are easy for the rear.

On to the pics. Sorry they are kinda of terrible. I should probably use something other than my phone. I had to put it on the ground to take some pictures, but immediately put it back on up jack stands.

Oh and I think I found a serial number stamped on the frame. From the best I can tell it B4445. It looks like they screwed up on the last 4 because you can see a couple other stamping marks.

I also took a couple pictures of the underside of the hood. It looks like it may have had the vents filled in.

Oh and here are a couple pics of the brake/clutch system. I'm going to bleed them today.....

New Dutton chassis plates are available to club members ...hint hint.
We would have to come to some arrangement over the V5C or log book as there is a chance yours never had a UK one.

After closer inspection I think it is B+445. I think they screwed up the first time and put braze over it to try to cover up the wrong stamping marks.

What is a VC5 or logbook?

In the UK it is the document that lets the authority's know who owns the car, a bit like your pink slip i think...

Unfortunately I have not got much work done recently. Too many other cars to work on and too much house/yard work.....
I hope to start the vehicle this weekend after install the new fuel pump. When it runs I'll probably take it down my drive and down the street a bit.

However I do have a couple questions regarding my eligibility to register the car for the official Michigan highway use. The state needs all sorts of records on where I bought all of the parts, etc to get an "Assembler's Title". This stuff I think I can make my way through.
BUT, per form TR-45 I need to have the following which I think I may currently be deficient on-
Windshield (made with safety glass)
Bumpers

Is there any proof that these vehicles were supplied with safety glass?

The bumper I think I can hack something together to get it inspected :)

Thanks

Its a good question, are you intending to fit a windscreen or small aeroscreens?
We (the owners club) can write you a note saying that they did have safety glass screens (it was toughened glass not laminated)
