Hi Gents

Just a quick line or two to introduce myself...
My name is Dave H. from leafy Bedfordshire and Ive just joined the forum..
I havent got a Dutton as yet but I'm on the lookout for a Phaeton S3 or S4. Maybe its the wrong time of year to be looking as there doesnt seem to be too much around at the moment.
Anyway as soon as I manage to bag one I hope you Gents can help steer me through all the little issues I may encounter.

Thanks

Regards

Dave H.

Welcome Dave
We'll certainly do our best to help in anyway we can.
I could suggest a few places you may wish to try shopping but it all depends on what level of project you're looking for.
tax and ticket - drive away
minor work for mot
major work for mot
basket case for full rebuild.

Hi Adrian

Thanks for your reply and warm welcome.I'm looking forward to joining the Dutton clan.
I really would like a drive away, although I'm not adverse to spannering. Something that is a runner but also that I can play with. Ive got my eye on a couple of S3's at the mo..
Ill keep you posted.
Have you any leads to a S3 or S4 for sale?

EBAY phaeton 3 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181239964219?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Gumtree phaeton 3 - this one is known to the club and a nice chap. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/for-sale-dutton-pheaton-s3-kitcar/1036171177

I'm biased but this Legerra is well known in club circles from a few years ago now sadly neglected and would respond well to some TLC.
The original owner knows his stuff and built it well. very cheap and desperately in need of a new home.

Cheers Adrian. I've been to see the S3 on gum tree today and it is reasonably good... Just got to haggle with the asking price. A tad too pricey at 2 grand.

I dont mind travelling to get a car...Yes it was a long drive but it was good to see the car and meet Allan, a very plesent guy. I believe you know him and the car.
The car certainly goes like old stink, needs some TLC to the body work and some other issues sorting.. It's just a tad too expensive...
