B-Types on E-Bay

Dutton & general related listings

There are couple of B-Types on E-Bay at the moment one described as a B+ and the other just as a Dutton both 1600's one Pinto one X-Flow - In my opinion avoid these cars unless you intend to do some serious chassis modifications as the front cross members have been cut away for some reason and there is no visible indications of strenthening.

The B-Types have a very small tube chassis that is very minimalist and mine which still has the chassis complete and only a weak 1500 GT pre X-flow has significant chassis cracking.

Basically the design of the suspension is seriously flawed and putting in bigger heavier engines and cutting out essential chassis tubes will not improve things.

Madness - no tax or mot for a car that was dodgy design wise in 1970 never mind 30 years later and with essential chassis tubes removed.
