malaga v8 update for the new year

Postby LB_malaga » Mon Feb 01, 2010 8:54 pm

Alright people,
Now the weathers staying in the +’s I’ve started work on the Malaga again! First thing that needed fitting properly were the brakes after having them sitting in place for a while.

Next thing was the steering column and new axle. The column has been welded up tonight with the new rose joints in place and is ready to bolt on…when I finish the new mounting brackets after I’ve fitted this axle. So after a lot of hunting I managed to source a 50inch ford atlas out of a 3.0l v6 scimitar

After cleaning the axle down a bit (more needed) I thought I’d start making the new mounting brackets as the old ones aren’t suitable. Ok so this is just a rough lump cut from 3mm plate which obviously needs bracing etc but it’s a starting point!

Are you going to use the Watts linkage or convert to Panhard?
