We are very pleased that has come this year, a participant from the DOC from England to us and hope that brings together the owner of Dutton in England and Germany closer to the shared hobby of being able to operate more intensively.

cheers

Cheers Tom,

I must admit I almost spat my tea all over the keyboard when I saw Daves car on the back of the trailer...... If he didn't have bad luck he would have no luck at all...LOL

Some nicely detailed cars there Tom.

All the best

Andy

Now what does interest me is the white car in the background and which of the Ginetta wedge series this is

I expect it will be a G26 but you never know.

I have a picture of that Ginetta Andy, and will post to here later, sandy and i were flying along the motorway around Rotterdam and found a big pothole at speed on a long left hand slip road (at over 110kph) and bottomed out everything, the O/S rear shocker broke off the threaded section off the top of the shocker. I was not flavour of the month ........Again.
Tom was brilliant, and with out prompting and after i had organised recovery told me he would come out to us with his trailer and recover us to kevelaer (over 120km each way!)( + the mileage to collect his trailer.) after some beers (alot) the German Dutton owners went through their stock of parts and found a match for the shocker and fitted it.....for free they would not accept any payment. not even for the food and beer. I cannot praise the German Dutton Owners highly enough for their hospitality or generosity.
They have said that I am the first to make an appearance at their do from the UK, and have an open invitation to all to attend, if any want to go with me next year?

Hello Andy,

I have a telephone with Kalle.... he say it was a Ginetta 26 without a original Papers ... only a Donor paper.

Hello Dave,

I hope you and Sandra have a good time here in Germany... and we see us next year...

Hi Tom,
Sandra and I enjoyed our trip to Kevelaer and to the German DOC, and are planning to attend next year, we will try to persuade some others from England to join us as well.

My car will have a full rebuild over winter this year, and hopefully nothing will go wrong this time!!!!!!

We only have two other problems on our trip, outside of Maastricht my throttle return spring breaks (soon repaired) and on the ring road around Antwerp during heavy rain my N/S wiper arm falls off (new for trip and held on by a screw! £20!) If anyone finds this they could post it to me :D

we did well for fuel, at around 7.5l/100km for the trip (about 37mpg) and the car ran well for the last part of the trip (we called it off slightly early because of the forecast for rain and cold weather) the Dutton covering 1000km in 24 hours.

Cheers Tom and Dave, I thought it would be a G26 but thought I would enquire as I am considering starting a G31 register for the GOC to keep track of the remaining G31's quite easy to do as only 70 ever made and the club has pretty good records.

Glad you made it back OK

Hi Dave,
I am glad that you arrived back to health in England. Alexa and I were on Sunday evening, arrived at 20:00 clock in Switzerland.
We still have a lot of talk about the nice evening with you.

Since Joerg (the owner of the green Dutton and Burton) joined our club, has become the benchmark for all of us a little higher.
Image
The restored cars have got an excellent quality and you can see what is possible.
Thus, the vehicles get better and the Dutton gets more and more an increasingly higher value.

That is why our meetings are so interesting to the young engineers among us.

In recent years more and more other vehicles have occurred to our club.

Many new members who like the relaxed way we deal with each other and not just Dutton owners are welcome.

The English idea of the Car Kit only makes our hobby can get us closer together.

Grüezi from Switzerland
Tom

Hi Adam,

if you know someone who has interest, the car is for sale.
He has not only original papers!
