My recently aquired Melos

Postby obr_technology » Wed Jun 08, 2011 9:57 pm

Hi All,

Just got this Melos (saturday) and have a few plans for it.

I'd be really interested if anyone out there has any info/history on it, it was red before but was resprayed and I bought it ready to reassemble, althought the paintjob isnt great.

that is quite a project you have there, hope you enjoy the process of sorting it, and that you get some use out of it this year.....
P.S. saw you showed some interest in the S1 phaeton parts on another post....oooh i am getting all paranoid, it was you wasn't it? well i will assume it was, they wont fit your car even after much modifying. However the S3/4 may well do after some modifying. or you could keep it as a Melos.

When i say modifying i mean to turn it into a phaeton look-alike.....

Hi,

Thanks for the advice!

Marcjagman, I didn't bid for this car. Peter the owner had it listed on ebay but nobody bid so I just bought it cash.

Its going for MOT on Tuesday as I managed to spend a few evenings on it over the past few weeks.....i'll keep you posted!

Just to let you know that the car did pass its MOT on the tuesday but i've been on holiday for the pass two weeks so forgot to update.

Looking forward to some fun in the sun now, as well as a bit of updating to areas such as the rear suspension as the handling is not quite as I would like.
